Pierce College Student Publications Earn National First-Place Awards

Pierce College student journalists continue to shine nationally, earning top honors from the American Scholastic Press Association (ASPA) for their outstanding work. Both The Roundup newspaper and The Bull Magazine received first-place awards in their respective categories for issues produced during the Fall 2024 semester.

The ASPA evaluates student publications based on content coverage, organization, design, presentation, and creativity, scoring them on a comprehensive point system. The Bull Magazine was recognized for its innovative theme, which explored all things automotive—from classic lowriders to the latest in electric vehicle technology and high-speed racing.

These award-winning publications were guided by two dedicated student editors-in-chief: Delilah Brumer (The Roundup) and Myraneli Fabian (The Bull Magazine). Their leadership and the hard work of their teams reflect the excellence of Pierce journalism students.
